Emma J Lock - A Passionate View of the Lakes

The Blencathra Gallery on our third floor is now exhibiting Emma J Lock’s paintings. This is a stunning range of work which features the powerful views of the Lake District. Within them, she captures the raw essence of our beloved countryside, instilling the fells’ powerful grace with each stoke of her brush.

“Painting for me is not done as a wish to be different nor to stand out nor just to produce something desirable. It is a yearning to create and be true to my mind’s eye. It is a loving desire to translate the world as I perceive it; to tell the story of the land and sea using colour, texture, form and depth, as if they were words in a diary.” - Emma J Lock

Her paintings range from £395 - £1950 and will be exhibited here until 30 March.
