Still Open 18 - 22 March
There will be some painting and decorating going on in the ground floor of the gallery so we may look closed 18 - 22 March. However, the upstairs and Emma J Lock’s exhibition will still be open to the public via entry through the side door. And as always, our online shop will also be available to view.
02 - 30 March 2019
From the very outset when Tim considered purchasing the NLG, one of the two artists he wanted to represent, long before he signed any checks, was Emma J Lock. She helped formed the bedrock for his burgeoning aspirations as a prospective gallery owner and curator.
“Painting for me is not done as a wish to be different nor to stand out nor just to produce something desirable. It is a yearning to create and be true to my mind’s eye. It is a loving desire to translate the world as I perceive it; to tell the story of the land and sea using colour, texture, form and depth, as if they were words in a diary.” - Emma J Lock
