‘Birds in the Round - Blue Ring Ouzels’ is a one-off remarkable hand crafted sculpture by Northumberland based sculptor Robin Fox.

Five individually handbuilt abstract winged figure in mixed media epoxy resin with a Verdigris and painted finish. The beaks have been gilded with 23.75 carat gold leaf.

The birds perch on a lattice of corkscrew hazel branches inserted into two 60cm steel ringswhich are themselves set into a gorgeous piece of stone that has been hand quarried from Ladycross Quarry in Northumberland. The stone shows detailed layers throughout, Robin visits the quarry and carefully chooses the stone for each piece that he feels best matches the piece. The stone is set onto a steel disk.
