Seven individually handbuilt birds in mixed media with ink tinted variegated metal/ silver leaf. Sitting on corkscrew hazel branches inserted into a 40cm steel ring which is set into a fabulous polished organic yew base (Provenance Juniper, Hexhamshire, Northumberland).

“The corkscrew hazel branches have been air dried for up to 12 months before use in any of my sculpture work”.

Due to the nature of this material slight movement must be anticipated. Best kept away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. The branches have been finished with a UV resistant varnish and need only an occasional dust with a soft paintbrush.
