Here Patricia is working on an Indian hand-made, acid-free, deckled-edge paper. Indian ink applied with Chinese brushes and bamboo pens, then touches of soft pastel and powdered charcoal. She has worked on a texture sheet first, then torn this into strips and added to the final work, creating an element of spontaneity along with visual texture.
